Your Patterns Come With You
Save or screenshot an image of your pattern and bring it in with Import Photo. Krazy Stitcher matches the picture's colors to the bead palette you choose, and you can adjust any color afterward.
Your Patterns Are Safe
Switching doesn't mean starting over. You're exporting a copy of your pattern as an image and bringing it into Krazy Stitcher — your original files stay untouched in your old software. Nothing gets deleted, nothing gets overwritten.
Import Photo rebuilds the pattern from the colors in the image, so check the result against your original before you rely on it. If you don't like it, your originals are exactly where you left them. Studio can also import BeadTool and CSV files directly.
How to Switch
- Open your pattern in BeadTool 4
- Save or export the pattern as an image (PNG or JPG), or take a screenshot of the chart. Menu names vary by version, so check BeadTool's Help if you cannot find it
- Keep the image file somewhere you can find it
- Open Krazy Stitcher → click Import Photo
- Load the image, adjust settings, choose your bead palette
- Done — a copy of your pattern is now in Krazy Stitcher. Compare it with your original.
Studio can also open BeadTool files directly, without the picture step.
- Open your design in Beadographer
- Save or export an image of your design, or take a screenshot of the chart
- Open Krazy Stitcher → click Import Photo
- Load the image and adjust
- Done

- Adjust and remap to your preferred bead palette

What if the colors look different?
They might look slightly different at first. Import Photo matches the picture's colors to the bead palette you have chosen (Miyuki, Toho, and Preciosa palettes are built in) rather than copying the screen colors exactly. You can adjust any color after import, and it is worth comparing the result with your original.
